Check out this young producer cat, also comin outta LA, named Asura. We played on the same bill at Low End Theory and let me just say that I was blown the fuck away by his performance. I got sent his album a few weeks back and was completely mesmerized by that shit, and the show took the gorgeous textural soundscapes to a seriously live level. Huuuuuge sounds that unfortunately went over a lot of people's heads, but for those who can appreciate the experimental side of things, this dude is on top.

Highly recommend seeing his live sets and definitely scope out the album right hurr which got front page treatment on Bleep!

ps. look out for an Asura remix on an upcoming Shlohmo EP... more on that soon

Set for release on May 3rd/4th, the album will contain tracks featuring Thom Yorke, Thundercat, Ravi Coltrane, Laura Darlington, Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, and Rebekah Raff.

Juj - My Room (new track)

Yo. So about a week ago I recorded my friend Tarek playing some guitar chords, then chopped that up and made a beat out of it. I've probably put more time into this one than anything else I've made so far, so I'm thankful to just be over this shit and move on. It's moving in some new directions/pretty different from a lot of my older stuff. Hope you can get down.

P.S. My stilo is to start a track then crap out when it's like 50-75% done, so I have a shit-ton of unfinished business. Hopefully I can bridge that gap and release a proper album #2 sometime soon.

Jesus shit. I can't keep up with all the music getting dropped right now (15 albums a week is getting crazy). But to keep things rolling, 0. has released ennui (2), the second installment of a weekly(!) tape series. Quite an ambitious ongoing project, I couldn't do that shit in a million years. And don't think the quantity overshadows quality, shit is solid through and through.
